Automation Engineer (OT / SCADA) Location: West Flanders, Belgium (Hybrid) The Opportunity: We are partnering with an innovative, internationally active manufacturing organisation undergoing a major digital transformation across its production environments. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role within a central OT team, driving the development and optimisation of scalable industrial systems across multiple sites. This position offers a strong blend of hands-on engineering, system design, and cross-site collaboration. What You’ll Be Doing: - Design, develop, and maintain industrial automation and SCADA solutions across production sites - Support digitalisation initiatives, transforming operational data into actionable insights - Work on data collection, datalogging, and system integration projects (e.g. MES, reporting tools) - Configure, install, and optimise automation systems in line with group standards - Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvements - Collaborate with internal teams and external integrators on project delivery - Contribute to standardisation and scalable solution design across multiple locations Tech Environment: - SCADA / HMI platforms - PLC programming (Siemens or similar) - Industrial communication protocols (e.g. OPC) - Data logging / Historian systems - SQL and industrial data environments - Exposure to MES and system integration What We’re Looking For: - Experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, or OT environments - Strong knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems - Understanding of industrial networks and data flows - Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a pragmatic approach - Comfortable working in a multi-site, international environment - Degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience What’s on Offer: - Competitive salary package with full benefits (including company car) - Flexible working and strong work-life balance - Long-term, high-impact projects within a growing organisation - Opportunity to shape modern industrial digitalisation initiatives - Ongoing training and development If you're interested in working at the intersection of industrial automation and digital transformation, apply directly.
